Live for Chocolate
Live for Chocolate is a FREE open to the public night of fun, laughter and support to highlight and promote Women's Health in Sussex County, Delaware. Nanticoke Health Services, Greater Seaford Chamber of Commerce and the City of Seaford are partnering again to bring you the 4th Annual Live for Chocolate!
This event also helps raise money to provide mammograms for local women who cannot afford it.
It features a scavenger hunt with chocolate treats at every stop. Games, prizes and fun activities will be located throughout downtown shops in Seaford and just across the
bridge in Blades.

This Year's Activities & Attractions...
RAIN OR SHINE, we will be there having fun!
Scavenger Hunt: 5:00 to 8:30 PM - Start by picking up a participant bag and puzzle form at City Hall, Greater Seaford Chamber of Commerce, The Bath Shop at Two Cats in the Yard, or the Nanticoke River Yacht Club in Blades. Travel through required clue stops in Downtown Seaford and across the bridge in Blades to get your puzzle form stamped and receive a clue to solve the puzzle. You must visit all clue stops and correctly solve the puzzle to be eligible for one of 30 prize drawings. Completed puzzles must turned into the box located under the tent at the corner of Spring and High Streets by 8:30 PM to be in the running to win prizes.
High Heel Race: 7:00 PM - Being held in honor of Melody Booker-Wilkins. This fun race will take place in front of City Hall. Teams of local male celebrities will navigate an obstacle course in high heels. This activity is free to watch but you can help support the cause by voting on a winning team. To vote, purchase a sleeve of tickets for $5.00 each at Linda Vista Realty. With the tickets, cast votes for the team(s) you believe will win. One ticket will be drawn from the winning team’s basket for a door prize. Body & Soul will be providing a dance demo shortly before at 6:45pm to get everyone pumped up!
Duck Dip: 8:00 PM - During the evening stop by the Cancer Care tent at Gateway Park and purchase a duck to float in the fountain in honor or memory of someone you love, or float a duck just because. You can purchase ducks for $5.00 each. At 8:00 PM we will pick a duck for a prize drawing.
Pink Survivors’ & Memory Walk: 8:15 PM - Immediately following the Duck Dip we will walk from Gateway Park to the corner of Spring and High Streets to honor those who have survived and remember those we have lost to breast cancer. This short walk ends where the final door prizes of the night will be drawn.
Memory Wall at Gateway Park: Free to everyone, stop by Gateway Park to sign the Memory Wall.
"Drive to Inspire" Ford Mustang, Sponsored by Preston: Free to everyone. Stop by to sign the Preston Automotive Pink Mustang, located in the Nanticoke Physician Network parking lot across from Gateway Park. Please use the crosswalk and crossing signal. This road will not be closed during the event but a crossing guard will be on hand.
Man Cave: This year the Man Cave is moving. Sadly, Mr. Adkins will be out of town, so the Man Cave will be located at Linda Vista Real Estate. Complimentary tastings from 3rd Wave Brewing Company will be available.
Event Merchandise: Pink ribbon lapel pins, event t-shirts, 2016 event totes and wine will be on sale at the Yacht Club, the Chamber office and Fantasy Salon throughout the event. All proceeds will also go towards helping to pay for mammmograms for those in need. Pink ribbon pins will also be on sale prior tot he event at the Day Spa at the Marina, Fantasy Salon and The Bath Shop at Two Cats in the Yard for $5.00 each..
Survivor’s Sashes: Again sponsored by Spicer Bros. Construction, pick up your Survivor Sash at City Hall.
Shopping & Food Vendors: 5:00 to 8:30 PM - Head to the Nanticoke Yacht Club in Blades to visit one of our many retail vendors. Also, in addition to complimentary hors d'oeuvres available at City Hall and Linda Vista, more substantial food is available for sale from one of the food vendors located near The Day Spa at the Marina.
Door Prizes: 8:30 PM - Held under the tent at the corner of Spring and High Streets. You can join in or watch the fun. Door prizes will be drawn around 8:30 PM. You do not have to be present to win but it is much more fun if you are there!
Complimentary Hors D’oeuvres: 5:00 to 8:30 PM - City Hall and Linda Vista
NEW! FUNDRAISERS THIS YEAR: All money raised from fundraisers at this year’s event will go to help with expenses for women who cannot otherwise afford a mammogram. All money stays local, helping women in Western Sussex County.
